November Happenings

We're only halfway through the month and so much has been going on that I had to post an update. Ethan was honored at the quarterly student assembly with a couple of awards in academics. He was very proud of himself so here are a couple of pictures from that day:

Our ward was in charge of the stake youth dance this month and we went with an 80s theme because let's face it, who doesn't want to bring back the 80s? Oh wait, I don't! The only good thing that came from the 80s was the music and it was amazing, so thank you 80s for your contribution, we appreciate it. We had a live band that played a set of only 80s music and they were awesome, and we had a projector with a pac-man game up for kids to play. I have to say, it was very cool... for a youth dance. What wasn't cool was the fashion. Oh 80s, why did you have to be so excessive? From the big hair to the blinding bright colors it was quite the scene. I wish we would have taken more pics of the decor, we had some life-size silhouettes of MJ and other artists and brightly splattered paper all over with geometric shapes, popular quotes from 80s movies and records hung throughout. It was a fun night and we had compliments from some of the youth about how cool it was, which makes all the hard work worth it.
